Captain Bob Higgins

Captain Bob is a second generation USCG Captain with over 34 years of experience fishing the waters of Southern New England. Logging over 6,000 miles on the water, with over 100 canyon trips, catching Yellow Fin, Big eye, Blue fin, and Albacore Tuna, White and Blue marlin, Swordfish, Mako, Thresher, Dusky, and Tiger Sharks, Mahi and Bonito. Inshore species include Striped Bass, Fluke, Tautog, Sea Bass, Scup, Cod, Pollock and Haddock.

In the off season you will find Captain Bob working on Necessity, doing his own routine maintenance and improvements. An avid outdoorsman, he takes a break in the fall for deer hunting. His other hobbies include truck and boat restoration. Ask him about the Resolute, his 1966 31’ Bertram Bahia Mar, that he restored from the hull.
